   the site sets the display face in italic.

   Source: Google Fonts CSS API v2 (the only endpoint that serves the
   VARIABLE cut — the site's "Download family" button gives TTF, and
   Elementor's own Google-fonts pipeline uses API v1, which returns
   18 static instances per family instead). Fonts are OFL-licensed
